Spice is the name of an herbal mixture similar to marijuana that is often marketed as being a safe drug alternative. Made up of plants and herbs, Spice is than sprayed with a synthetic chemical additive that is similar to marijuana.

Often labeled “not for human consumption” and sold in shops and online as incense, Spice is used because it produces psychoactive effects. The synthetic nature of the drug makes Spice more unpredictable than marijuana. Spice is attractive to many drug users because it cannot be detected by traditional drug tests.

While the high produced by Spice is similar to marijuana, it can cause a quicker and more intense trip. Spice can cause the following symptoms to occur:
